Join Wold Escapes and the Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School for an unforgettable live talk with the all-female ocean rowing team who became the first women to row the Pacific Ocean mainland to mainland, non-stop and unsupported.
Spending 165 days at sea and rowing for up to 15 hours a day, their extraordinary journey is one of grit, resilience and determination.

Converted from the former Highfield Farm, we offer a range of stays including luxury bed and breakfast rooms, stylish glamping cabins, self-catering farmhouse accommodation and, new for May 2026, a campsite with 20 pitches.
Surrounded by private farmland, guests enjoy a quiet rural escape with access to scenic footpaths, rolling Wolds landscapes and a rare chalk stream rich in local wildlife. Home to the award winning Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School, which offers a variety of cookery courses where you can learn new skills as part of a small intimate group. We also offer bespoke cookery classes tailored to your specific group’s requirements, be it with friends or as part of a team building exercise.
Alongside the cookery school we run a variety of workshops including wildlife and photography and Duke of Edinburgh gold award residential courses. Look out for our talks and demonstrations from artisan craftspeople.
Our private dining rooms are available to hire for events and parties, and bespoke packages are available for all occasions including private dinners, birthdays, baby showers or hen parties.

Beverley
Beverley is a thriving traditional market town and its Market Cross still stands proudly in the centre of its bustling marketplace.
Visitors are attracted to this well-loved town by a variety of options, you can enjoy a day at the races, do some boutique shopping, have a quiet drink in an historic pub and a meal in an increasing number of café-bars and restaurants.
The Flemingate Shopping Centre, which is also packed with leisure options, and has dramatically transformed an area in the town once known for its tannery.
Explore the wide-open pastures of Beverley Westwood, visit the magnificent 13th-century Beverley Minster or a stroll along the Beck.
Sledmere House
One of East Yorkshire’s finest country houses which has captivated audiences for over 200 years. Tophill Low Nature Reserve
The reserve is an active Yorkshire Water Treatment Works supplying Hull from two huge reservoirs protected for wildfowl. Bird hides look over 300 acres of surrounding woodland, wetland and grassland flanking the River Hull that have recorded 270 bird species since 1959.
Burton Agnes Hall
The historic house of Burton Agnes has plenty to see and do including wandering around the house or beautiful gardens, woodland, and adventure playground.
