Making every stay special
Accessibility Guide

Your accessibility guide at Wold Escapes

At Wold Escapes, we are committed to making every guest feel welcome, comfortable and confident before and during their stay. We understand that everyone has different needs, so we are always happy to discuss individual requirements before arrival and make reasonable adjustments wherever possible.

We can provide photographs, measurements and additional information to help guests decide whether our accommodation is suitable for their needs. If specialist equipment, such as oxygen tanks need to be delivered before your stay, we are happy to accept and securely store it until your arrival. Every booking can be discussed individually with Georgina and Jenna to ensure we do everything we reasonably can to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

For guests living with dementia, we are happy to make simple adaptations where appropriate, such as decluttering accommodation, labelling doors and cupboards to aid orientation, or removing rugs to reduce trip hazards.

A peaceful environment

We appreciate that some guests, including those with autism or sensory sensitivities, prefer a calm environment with as little unexpected noise as possible. Our grounds are maintained using a quiet robotic lawnmower, which operates with minimal disturbance. Where possible, we are also happy to switch it off during your stay to create an even quieter and more relaxing environment.

Staying in our Farmhouse

The Farmhouse and B&B includes an accessible ground-floor bedroom with a wet room, grab rails, a shower seat and an emergency alarm linked to the public areas of the building. All public areas are on one level, and the kitchen features a height-adjustable hob and cookery workstation to support guests taking part in cookery experiences. An accessible toilet is also located adjacent to the main social space.

We have disabled parking right outside the door, but there is plenty of space to drop off and pick up any guests who do not want to walk far.

Our Touring Caravan Park

Our touring caravan park includes an accessible bathroom with level access via a ramp, together with grab rails, a shower seat and spacious facilities designed to make stays more comfortable.

Our glamping cabins

Most of our glamping cabins can be made step-free using a portable access ramp. We also have portable shower stools, suction grab rails and bath seat boards that can be provided on request. These additions were introduced following valuable feedback from regular guests who are members of the BLESMA charity, helping us continually improve the accessibility of our accommodation.

Four of our cabins also have designated parking spaces immediately behind the accommodation, reducing the distance guests need to walk.
