WOLD ESCAPES ARE REYTA AWARD WINNERS
The Wold Escapes team got their glad rags on last Thursday 14th November for the annual Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards (REYTA’s for short) held at Bridlington Spa.
And guess what?! We won! Wold Escapes is now the proud winner of the ‘Remarkable Camping, Glamping and Holiday Park of the year’ award!
Our award was announced towards the end of the night and we obviously hoped to win but the level competition was insane, so when they called out our name we were genuinely shocked and thrilled in equal measure!
The effort and hard work from the whole of our small team in the last year has been immense. We’ve added two new glamping cabins this year, changed our heating to air source heat pumps, planted trees, sown a wildflower meadow, we even went on a special mission to save an enormous bay tree… The whole team are what make Wold Escapes into the thriving business it is, so to get this award and the recognition that goes with it really does put a smile on our faces and warms our hearts.
The Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism awards are organised by Visit Hull and East Yorkshire (VHEY) and have been running for a lengthy 14 years recognising the quality of businesses and the individuals who work within them in the fabulous county of East Yorkshire. The glittering award ceremony included a three-course meal, dinner and dancing. We certainly had a quick boogie to celebrate!
Our lovely little Wold Escapes glamping site will now be put forward to the National VisitEngland awards which will be announced in June 2025. Watch this space….
