Our unique Large Group Accommodation

Finding an accommodation venue for a large party can be really difficult task.  Is there enough bedrooms for everyone?  Will there be plenty of parking?  Can we all sit down together and relax?  Can we all eat, talk, have drink etc.?

Well here at Wold Escapes we think we’ve got you covered.  It’s not something we’ve made much of in the past, but you can book the whole of the Wold Escape farmhouse on a self-catering basis.  This includes nine bed and breakfast rooms, a large lounge to relax in, a large dining area and not forgetting we are an award-winning cookery school and so there is a fully equipped kitchen at your disposal.

All of our nine bed and breakfast rooms are named after local villages including Neswick, Sunderlandwick and Cranswick.  They all have en-suite bathrooms with the exception of Lund which has its own private bathroom mere footsteps away.  The rooms can be made up into double or twin beds on your request and we do have some camp beds and travel cots if you have any children in your party.  In fact, our Lund and Bainton rooms can join up as a family room which can form a self-contained unit with two separate bedrooms, ideal if you want to be together but not actually sleep in the same room as your children (we’ve all been there, and trust us this is ideal!).

Southburn room is our disabled access bedroom, located on the ground floor and has an easy access walk in wet room.  All of our rooms have tea and coffee making facilities as well as a hairdryer, smart TV and access to free high speed Wi-Fi.

An ideal Large holiday home for you and your friends and family to relax

Our large communal lounge is a great space for your party to relax in.  With a variety of sofas and armchairs and a smart TV you can really make yourselves at home.  We even have a selection of board games to play as well as books and leaflets on the local area.

Stepping through from the lounge and you are into our spacious dining room.  We can seat up to 30 people but the dining room can be split into two halves so if you’d rather a more intimate setting you can eat in the smaller dining room which seats 10 people.

Make your group stay special with a private chef

As we’ve mentioned before we are also a Cookery School so you have access to a fully equipped kitchen with all the tools which go with it if you’re cooking for a party.

However, if you did want to make your stay a bit more special we can happily organise for a private chef to come and cook for you one night.  Or if you fancied we could make this into your very own cookery demonstration.  If you’ve got an idea, we are more than happy to look into it.  So, if you’re planning a reunion with friends, celebrating a special birthday or anniversary, organising a hen party or even a baby shower we can make your stay extra special.

Things to do in the local area 

Located in the East Yorkshire Wolds countryside surrounded by private farmland you will be assured a peaceful stay if you chose to book with us at Wold Escapes.  We are 11 miles from Beverley, four miles from the market town of Driffield and 17 miles from the coast town of Bridlington.  So, if you fancy a trip into town or a walk on the beach and some sea air then all are within easy reach.

If you and your friends or family enjoy walking then you will have access to some private footpaths around the farmland which includes a picturesque chalk stream which attracts an array of wildlife including kingfishers, herons and water voles, as well as freshwater trout.  The owl boxes we have installed around the farm mean we often get majestic barn owls hunting in the hedgerows and there have at times been sightings of more rare birds such as the Great Egret.

Please be aware that at the farmhouse we do not allow dogs inside (you have to stay in one of our neighbouring glamping cabins if you wish to bring you dog with you).

If you and your party are into cycling or just fancy an afternoon exploring the area by bike then Wold Escapes is the perfect spot for you.  We have secure undercover bike storage and drying facilities if the weather doesn’t play ball.  Wold Escapes is situated on the Way of the Roses cycle route and you’ll find many other cycle routes around the local area.  Take a look at Visit East Yorkshire’s suggestions here.
