Wold Escapes are finalists in two categories at this years Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards!
We were thrilled to get the email last week letting us know that we are finalists in the covetable REYTA awards for another year! Even better, this time we have been short listed for not one but two categories, which is really exciting news for our team and our guests!
Wold Escapes are finalists in:

- Remarkable Camping, Glamping and Holiday Park of the Year
Regenerative Tourism at Wold Escapes
Sustainability has always been important to us. Guests have access to our Chalk Stream Sanctuary, the private nature reserve on our farm which is constantly being enhanced, and is home to an abundance of wildlife. We also have numerous bird and bat boxes, plant wildflower meadows for insects and bees (as well as because they are very pretty to look at!).
When the farmhouse was converted from a derelict farmstead, solar panels were installed on the roof, which help power the site and now the building is well used for guests in the B&B, as a busy cookery school and for self-catering farmhouse stays.
In 2024 we installed eight new air source heat pumps to power each of our glamping cabins and hot tubs. This has resulted in us significantly reducing our carbon footprint whilst simultaneously enhancing the experience for our guests. The heat pumps use roughly one third of the energy used by the previous system, and are much more reliable.

Remarkable Glamping!
Last year we were thrilled to win Remarkable Camping, Glamping and Holiday Park of the Year. Since then, we have kept the high standards of service, while expanding our wellness offerings. Alongside private walks across our farmland where guests can really escape into nature, we now offer bike hire, invigorating ice baths, and treatments through our new partnership with Glo Pamper, where guests can book beauty and holistic treatments. Guests really can escape to the Yorkshire Wolds!
And there is more good news, two brand-new glamping cabins on their way! These should be ready to book in October and due to popular demand (we do always listen to our guests feedback) will have secure dog fencing. Perfect for four-legged guests to roam freely while their humans unwind in the hot tub.
Can we win it again? We certainly hope so! The competition is always strong, but we’re proud to be flying the flag for glamping in East Yorkshire.
What are the REYTA awards?
The Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards (REYTAs) are organised by Visit Hull and East Yorkshire (VHEY) to celebrate the region’s thriving tourism sector, recognising the fantastic businesses that operate here and the brilliant people behind them. They work in partnership with VisitEngland, the official national tourist board for England.
We’ll be getting all glammed up for the glittering awards ceremony which takes place on 19th November 2025 at Connexin Live Hull. With so many amazing tourism businesses in East Yorkshire, competition is tough, but that just makes it even more special to be finalists.
